We hope you find this site helpful and informative, especially in these difficult times. As you will see, we are an exciting, happy and thriving primary school situated in the heart of The Cotswolds in the small market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. We believe in providing the best possible education for children aged between 4 and 11 years and we welcome children of all abilities and backgrounds to join our happy, supportive and positive school. At Stow-on-the-Wold Primary School we aim to encourage children to grow in self esteem and to develop a real love of learning during their time with us.
We are very proud of our school and of the children, parents, governors and staff who work together so well to make it such a motivating and productive place. On this website you will find information about our amazing community including staff, governors, parents and of course the children.
We are an enthusiastic, happy and well motivated team who all have one shared vision for the school. We are all working towards our ultimate vision for the school which is being at the heart of the community; a place where everyone is keen to achieve and share in success, making best use of all resources and celebrating diversity. We are determined to offer a rich, deep and memorable curriculum which meets the individual needs of our children
We hope that everyone will have a clear understanding of their contribution to the school in its central role of raising standards; educational, physical, moral and social. In the words of our school motto “Together we can succeed!”
Please take a look at our most recent Ofsted inspection report which will give you a very good indication of our successes. We hope you enjoy looking at the site and please do feel free to contact us should you have any further questions or if you would like any additional information to appear on the site in future.
If you would like paper copies of any of our policies free of charge or paperwork please call 01451830784 or email head@stow-on-the-wold.gloucs.sch.uk

Pyjama Appeal Today charity volunteer Rhiannon Bailey came to tell the school council about the pyjama appeal explaining that they are going to two Gloucestershire hospitals, a children’s hospice and a refuge. The charity wrap them all up beautifully and attach two teddy hearts to each set, one for the child and one for the parent/ carer so they can feel together. Our school collected 121 sets in total and we will be receiving a certificate of thanks. Thank you to everyone for supporting this worthy cause at Christmas.

Poetry Reading Project Today a group of children shared their poems with our friends at Newlands and some of the residents read them poems back. We even had happy faced biscuits and enjoyed a chat and laughs with residents. I was incredibly proud of our friendly outgoing polite children. Thank you to poet Frank McMahon for helping the writing process and coming with us today. We hope to go back again singing later this term.
