16/04/2020 - Note from school nurses

The school nurses would like to remind you of Health Chat- the texting service offered by the School Nursing team.  This is a confidential way that your older children – the 11-19yr olds can have a text conversation with one of our School Nurses about any health issue, worry or concern they may have.  When secondary schools are shut and students don’t have their usual pastoral support, this service can be of great benefit to allay anxieties and emotional distress.

In addition there is information and guidance for students on the School Nursing Webpage which can be found here

16/04/2020 - Young Peoples Survey

Message from Dame Janet Trotter

Over the past few months the Health and Well-Being Board has been developing a Gloucestershire Children and Young People's Strategy.

Our current situation prompts us to ask these questions with renewed urgency as the effects of Covid-19 will be with us for many years to come and the most vulnerable in our society are likely to suffer the most severe consequences.

With this in mind I should be grateful if you would encourage the young people with whom you are in contact to complete this questionnaire.  You can also find further details and a link to the questionnaire on our website. www.childfriendlygloucestershire.com  We will feedback to you in the autumn before taking decisions about how to plan for our future work programme with and for our young people.
