We are enjoying a great first term learning about Earthquakes and Volcanoes.
The children will name and locate a wider range of places in their locality, the UK and wider world including some globally significant features. They will also use geographical language to identify and explain some aspects of human and physical features and patterns. We will look at a World Map and locate areas of similar environmental regions. The children will be able to describe and understand key aspects of volcanoes and earthquakes. Class 4 will locate some of the most famous volcanoes. We will name and describe all the layers that make up the earth and name key parts of a volcano. We will also be able to explain how to keep safe during an Earthquake.
We will research the history of Earthquakes and Volcanoes we will also use dates and historical terms when ordering events and objects on a timeline.
